I filmed THE RED CHAPEL in NORTHKOREA and edited it into a feature doc that was awardet THE GRAND JURYS’ WORLD DOCUMENTARY CINEMA PRIZE at THE SUNDANCE FILMFESTIVAL 2010.
I’m now based in NYC where I’m directing and shooting CURBSIDE STORIES around urban activities.
The series is called ASPHALT NYC and will be out on Network A in October 2013
I’m a filmmaker in the sense that I direct documentaries, shorter fictive stories like musicvideos, virals and commercials, but I also shoot and edit for other directors. When I choose to do so, I adopt the story and do whatever I can, to add my personal fingerprints to it.
Telling visual stories has been the perfect way of combining all my passions like music, travelling, skateboarding, art and photos into one media
( mom3nt.com ).
Working has taken me around the world a few times to places like: Northkorea, Haiti, Africa, Tunesia, Russia, The Gaza Strip,Canada, different parts of Europe and across the US a few times.
A lot of it had to do with comedy…does that make me a funny person? I donno, anyway…
In 2006 I filmed and edited
THE RED CHAPEL
which was awardet
The Grand Jurys Special Prize
The World Documentary Cinema
The SUNDANCE Filmfestival 2010
( theredchapel.com )
I have also directed more than 20 musicvideos for danish artists like:
Suspekt, L.O.C, U$O and Nephew.
In 2005 and 2007 some of them were awardet Danish hip hop video of the year like this one:
My carreer started by filming skateboarding and snowboarding around the early 90’s and from those passions I later on developed my street series ASPHALT CPH – Now ASPHALT NYC. One of my goals is to keep developing that into a world wide organisation
( youtube.com/AsphaltCPH and on facebook: facebook.com/groups/127653107278156/)
In general I’m quite a happy cat and because I’m so generous feel free to post the hell out of my work if you like it.
I love my work and I hope you will too… enjoy!
